About our courses
|
Tailor-made
Our courses are individual and designed to meet the needs and objectives of each participant, based on a needs analysis which we carry out before the start of the course. We then work with you to set realistic and achievable course objectives.
Short and intensive
You can book a course from a minimum of one week to a maximum of four weeks. You choose the number of hours per week - part-time (20 hours per week), semi-intensive (25 hours per week) or intensive (30 hours per week). The time you spend on your course depends on the time you have available. Courses are on a one-to-one basis, or for small corporate groups of not more than four participants of approximately the same level and with the same course objectives.

Company visits
One of the main reasons you choose to follow an intensive course in England is being totally immersed in the language and culture. We believe there should be an added dimension to this experience. If you need English for your work, you need to be able to converse with professional people like yourself. Through our many contacts in the business environment we identify people with interests similar to your own for you to meet and share ideas. These meetings are integrated into your course to follow an appropriate and structured programme of study. You have the added advantage of being able to network and make new business contacts at the same time as improving your English language skills. |
|
Some examples of these visits are:
- Being a guest at a Chamber of Commerce function where you would be able to socialise with business people with a wide range of interests. You could (if you are brave) give a two-minute presentation of your own organisation to the participants. This gives you a skill you can take back to your own country for future use.
- Attending an industrial tribunal as an observer and a discussion of employment law with a lawyer.
- Meeting people who are working on similar EU projects as yourself.
Course entry requirements
To be able to meet and communicate with your counterparts you need at least a survival level of English. We feel that people at beginner level or with insufficient professional work experience would not benefit from a course of this nature. This is why we have a lower age limit of 23 - but there is no upper age limit - we welcome mature participants.
Our trainers
Our trainers are all EFL qualified, with many years' experience, not only in teaching Business English, but also of working in industry in this country and abroad. This gives us a deep understanding of the needs of our course participants. We are constantly updating our skills, in order to offer the best service to you - our clients. |
